Normally, low-salt recipes are not very much fun for me. But this one is so much fun, so easy and so delicious! Low salt cinnamon honey whole wheat bread. Doesn’t it just sound delicious? Buckle up!
I’m a sucker for anything with cinnamon in it. Seriously, I have to watch myself SO carefully around cinnamon, because as soon as I smell it, the only thing that I want to do in the whole world is eat it. Right then. Me + Cinnabon = Why I’m so fat.
Imagine the control that I need to exercise every morning when I eat this bread. It’s really quite a heroic level of control, when you think about it. It’s like a hipster resisting the urge to take Instagrams of his food.
I’ve tweaked this recipe significantly since I first found it in a family recipe book. There are 1.5 teaspoons of salt in the whole thing — more than enough to add taste to the loaf. It’s also a very low overall amount, for any of you who are watching your salt intake. You can also add some ginger, if you like!
Other than that, there isn’t much to say on this one. It’s my weekly staple, it’s delicious and I guarantee that you’ll love it!

You can’t possibly mean 3 tablespoons of cinnamon, can you?

Hey, good catch! I’ll have to be more careful when I’m typing. It’s 1 Tablespoon. I’ll fix this in the recipe pronto. Thanks for reading and thanks for pointing that out!
