Garlic Chicken Alfredo

March 28, 2014 by DIYfoodguy 4 Comments

garlic-chicken-alfredoGarlic chicken alfredo is a favorite of mine.

Why?

Because I love Italy and I love the Italians. When I was little, my brother served as a Mormon missionary in and around Rome. At the end of his time there, we went to pick him up and I had my first up close and personal encounter with Italians.

I was seven when we went, but I remember a few things. First, Rome is an absolutely gorgeous city. There were scooters and mopeds everywhere, signs of just how vibrant the city is. Art just covers the city; sculptures and beautiful architecture are everywhere you look.

Oh, and there happens to be really good food. In case you didn’t know that about Italy 😉

Eating with the Italians is an experience in and of itself. Having company is an Event (with a capital E). They pull out all the stops. I’ll never forget how much food was on the table or how delicious it was. Honestly, guys, the Italians can cook. Seriously. For real.

My garlic chicken alfredo is FAR from authentic, but I love it.

The garlic sauce is REALLY strong. Because I like garlic.

There’s little as satisfying as a home cooked garlic chicken alfredo. Honestly, guys, I highly recommend it. It’s great for company, too!
