Maple syrup. Grilled pineapple. Beef brisket. Three of life’s great pleasures. If you put them all together, and it’s nothing but happy tastebuds and smooth sailing ahead. Trust me. I’ve done it. It’s a delicious maple pineapple brisket. And you’ll love it.
This is one of the easiest dinners to make ever. It’s a total of 10 minutes of hands-on time, and the rest is just time that the brisket spends in the crock pot.
What’s funny is that this recipe started out as something completely different. I was initially going to just make brisket. Nothing added. But then, a few days before I actually made the recipe, I started thinking. I said to myself: “What would happen if I added a maple syrup glaze to this?” — I’ve learned to trust my thinking in these matters. Even when it fails completely, it makes for a great story!
So I went and got some maple syrup. And then the day before I made the brisket, I just got a killer craving for pineapple. So I decided to add some grilled pineapple to the recipe. Amazing.
This was such a fun recipe to make, too. Food really should be fun! There are too many plain and boring recipes out there. This one is just something else altogether, though.
My cinnamon chocolate chip coconut banana bread really blew up over the weekend! Thank you to everyone that gave it a look! I get a genuine rush whenever I see a comment or see that my pictures are being viewed. Why? Because more than ANYTHING, I love people. I love to share my talents, however weak they might be, because it’s just so much fun!
Make sure that you come back and cook with me more often! You are vitally and wildly special to me. The how-to video is right below — see if it’s helpful to you!

Thanks so much!

By lemon powder do you mean lemon peel powder or lemon juice drink powder?
themormonfoodguy says
I used crystalized lemon powder, and you could definitely use lemon peel powder, but definitely not lemon juice drink powder. Great question!

This doesn’t burn up in a crock pot without liquid?
DIYfoodguy says
Nope! It’s the same principle as cooking a chicken in a covered pot, or en coquette. The fats and liquids in the meat will keep anything from burning since they are trapped in the pot.
